: Inaugural BIOMIN Feed and Premix Academy (FPA) in Hanoi

The inaugural BIOMIN Feed and Premix Academy (FPA) was held over two days in August at the BIOMIN Premix and Office complex in Hanoi, Vietnam. In the months leading up to the FPA, the staff at BIOMIN Vietnam worked hard to fit out their laboratory with the necessary furniture and equipment.

: AQUA 2008

On October 6-9th 2008, BIOMIN participated in the AQUA 2008, the X Ecuadorian Aquaculture Congress that was held in the warm city of Guayaquil, Ecuador. The AQUA 2008 offered a trade show area where many of the most prominent national and international companies in the aquaculture industry had displays of their latest and greatest in their area of expertise.

: BIOMIN Ukraine takes part in the IV International Poultry Conference

The IV International Poultry Conference organized by the Association “Poultry Breeders Unit of Ukraine” in Sudak (Ukraine, Crimea) from 22nd to 25th of September 2008, became one of the highlights in this year’s show calendar. This is a major event, which gathers representatives of the poultry industry as well as other branches of animal breeding from all over Ukraine as well as from the neighboring countries, such as the Baltics, Belarus, Moldova, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, etc.

: World Nutrition Forum Awards 2008

During the 3rd World Nutrition Forum in September 2008 the B.R.A.I.N. Program awarded one of the many submitted research projects during the last 2 years with the B.R.A.I.N. award. Furthermore, the poster session of the World Nutrition Forum 2008 included a poster competition where the most interesting poster was rewarded with a poster award as well. With more than 80 posters to choose from the decision for the participants was not an easy one and the competition ended with 2 winners.

: 5 years of BIOMIN Romania

BIOMIN celebrated this summer 5 years of activity on the Romanian market. We hope that the next five years will be at least as good as the ones that passed. Considering the delicate situation of the animal husbandry in the last years, I may say that BIOMIN managed it very well, overcoming the difficulties of the economical situation in the country, the overwhelming growth of the ingredients prices, due to the extreme weather conditions, the “avian flue” and, also to mention, the increasing competition due to EU accession.

This may seem an impossible task, but the opening session at the 3rd World Nutrition Forum was about how to achieve the seemingly impossible. The title of Erich Erber's opening presentation was drawn from his own experiences of the past 25 years - the history of BIOMIN.
